We couldn’t be prouder as Wadi Degla’s squash champion, Raneem El Welily, claimed the most prestigious title in squash – the World Championship title representing her country. The 28-year-old player claimed the title after a series of matches for the tournament held at Manchester from the 8th till the 17th of December.
The tournament had a total of eight Egyptian players, five of which represented Wadi Degla Club and two of them made it to the semi-finals, including El Welily winning the title and knocking the number one worldwide title holder, the Egyptian Nour El Sherbiny.
